Bio:

Having been an athlete for most of my life, I’ve suffered countless injuries from broken bones to torn ligaments. When I was 19, my knee had taken so much damage from martial arts that I needed a full replacement. The rehab was incredibly tough but from it, I had gained a new appreciation for the whole rehabilitation process. My first step into the industry was through personal training and from there I received my doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. While I enjoyed working as a physical therapist, I realized that my passion had lied in fitness so I shifted my focus back to training while specializing in functional rehab. I have worked with a wide variety of clients from kids to professional athletes (Patriots and Celtics) and with my degree in Physical Therapy, I also have a lot of experience working with injuries. I believe that by weaving my experience as a PT and the latest training methodology I can speed up the process and help my clients reach levels that they never thought possible.

Bio:

I first began working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer in 2013, with my background in martial arts and dance fueling my passion for improving physical health through movement. As I continued my fitness education in both exercise science and nutrition, I realized the combined importance that exercise, nutrition, and mental health all equally have when striving for optimal health. My philosophy focuses on continual lifelong learning and self reflection as the keys to achieving a high level of fitness. I know that one single approach is not the right one for every individual, and so I strive to apply as many modalities as possible to help my clients achieve their most ambitious goals.

Education:

  • M.S. in Rehabilitation Science - University of Pennsylvania

  • B.S. in Exercise Science - UMass Amherst

Certifications:

  • Licensed Massage Therapist

  • Certified Personal Trainer

  • Functional Movement Specialist

  • Corrective Exercise Specialist

Bio:

Shortly after graduating, I began working as a personal trainer. I quickly realized that mobility was a huge issue among my clients. I decided to go back to school for massage therapy in order to receive the hands on education to bring relief, and ease the restrictions and blockages clients experience in their bodies. After completing my massage therapy certification, I pursued a Masters degree in rehabilitation science. With this educational background I strive to take a scientific approach to bodywork and help clients heal and feel comfortable in their own skin. I’m keenly aware that a change in one part of the system affects the person as a whole and changes in one’s physical condition plays an important role in the mental and emotional state. It’s my goal that you will move better and feel better mind and body, after you leave the treatment table.

Education:

  • B.S. in Exercise Physiology - Plymouth State University

Bio:

Having been through a severe illness, major knee surgery, and a separated shoulder during my late teenage life, I’ve learned that trying to move well would be a challenge going forward. This inspired me to help others learn that it’s possible to be healthy and happy, even after such severe setbacks. I have worked with a vast variety of special populations including youth athletes, the elderly, and clients with breast cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and fibromyalgia. I also have extensive experience in training clients with previous injuries, from ankle sprains to knee surgeries. I strive to take any client — no matter the goal or injury — because moving well is my passion.

Certifications:

  • Certified Personal Trainer

  • Functional Movement Specialist

Bio:

Having been through many twists and turns in life, I understand how difficult it can be to prioritize one's own health and fitness. Though I studied various martial arts during my youth, distractions were easy to come by in adulthood, and I soon found myself in poor physical shape and mental health. With the help of friends, and some self-discipline, I was able to pull myself up and out of my own way. My clients range from busy folk who just need someone to keep them accountable, to new mothers and those with previous knee and hip injuries. My passion is one of helping others; to provide a support system that allows one to reach their goals. No one should have to do it all alone.
