FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Why choose Move Well Fitness?
Here at Move Well Fitness, we provide three benefits to our clients that set us apart from other personal training companies:
By utilizing a "team approach" the client benefits by having access to a broader perspective and skill set than any single trainer could provide. Clients have the option of allocating their personal training sessions towards not only personal training, but nutrition counseling and physical therapy as well.
Our exercise is "program centric" not "trainer centric". All exercise sessions delivered are based on a detailed, personalized program, created for each client using Move Well Fitness’ specific methodology. Sessions are NOT based on what a trainer feels like doing on a particular day with his / her client.
All programs are written and overseen by an advisor who is responsible for being the client's point person and continually ensuring the exercise prescription is up to date, and directly addresses the needs and goals of that client.
Can my session package only be used for personal training?
Your package sessions can be allocated towards personal training, nutrition counseling, or physical therapy as you see fit. Our per session cost is consistent across all of our services, with the exception of assisted stretching.
Assisted stretching is a separate service, with its own pricing and package options.
What exactly does a personal trainer do?
The primary responsibilities of a personal trainer are to:
Educate: They instruct you on how to exercise safely, taking into account your goals and any physical limitations. Their ultimate goal is to teach you how to train autonomously so you feel confident in the gym on your own.
Provide Support: They help to motivate you and hold you accountable so you are consistently staying on track towards reaching your goals.
Create a Structured Training Program: They create an individualized program tailored to your goals that they update every 3-6 weeks to ensure you are always improving.
What type of education do the personal trainers have?
All of our trainers are certified through a nationally accredited personal training certification program. In addition, most of our trainers hold at least a bachelor’s degree in the field of exercise science, if not a master’s degree. All of our trainers also undergo an extensive, ongoing education program through Move Well Fitness management to ensure they are staying up to date on the latest trends in the field.
Where will I work with my trainer?
We are able to perform training in the privacy of our clients homes, an on-site gym in our client’s home location if available, or even in an outdoor park. We also have an on-site location with a fully equipped gym in Needham, MA that our clients have the option of using for their training sessions if they so please.
How much space do we need?
The only open space we need is enough for you to be able to lay down and make a snow angel.
Do I need any equipment?
Our trainers bring with them all necessary equipment, including free weights, kettlebells, resistance bands, and even massage tables.
How long are the sessions?
All personal training, nutrition counseling, and physical therapy sessions are 60 minutes long. Assisted stretching add-ons are 30 minutes long.
How often do I have to see a personal trainer to see results?
We believe the optimal frequency of personal training to be 3 days per week. We can guarantee our clients will see results with a 3 days per week program. With that said, we are flexible in scheduling and will offer training once or twice a week with additional days included in your program for you to complete on your own to meet our 3 day per week recommendation.
Do you offer any payment plans?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any payment plans at this time. Clients have the option of purchasing personal training sessions individually if they would not like to pay a high upfront cost. Alternatively, clients may opt to purchase packages of 10, 20, or 30 sessions at a time for a based upon volume discount.
